Startup & Small and Medium Enterprises (S&SMEs) are said to be the drivers of many economies. A strong S&SME sector in an economy will positively contribute to the growth of that economy.
Intellectual property (IP) provides a framework where human creativity and inventiveness can be legally protected. Nowadays where intangible assets play a prominent role as the most valuable assets for many Startups and Small and Medium size Enterprises, Intellectual Property Rights are the best means to protect them.
We want to contribute to this process with information about IP rights that is applicable in the territory of Curaçao. Our main objective is to encourage the effective use of IP systems by S&SMEs to facilitate growth and sustainable success in business. We believe that strategic deployment of IP is crucial to the success of S&SME’s, which ultimately will positively enhance the growth of the economy of Curaçao through innovation, creativity, business vitality and diversity.
